v60 filter coffee

1. The Preparation
Gather your tools for this precise single serving.
Coffee: 15g of Arcane Island beans (medium-fine grind, like sea salt).
Water: 225ml of filtered water heated to 92°C – 96°C.
Equipment: V60 dripper, paper filter, carafe, and a gooseneck kettle.
2. Rinse and Warm
Place the filter in the V60 and rinse it thoroughly with hot water.
This removes any "papery" taste and warms your carafe. Discard the rinse water before adding your grounds.

3. The Bloom
Add your 15g of ground coffee to the filter and create a small divot in the center. Start your timer and pour 30g of water—just enough to soak the grounds. Wait 30 seconds.
The Secret: This "bloom" allows CO2 to escape, ensuring the water can fully extract the rich, earthy oils unique to Arcane Island.

4. The Main Pour
Pour the remaining water in two steady stages:
Stage 1: Pour in slow, concentric circles until you reach 125g. Spiral outward and inward,
avoiding the very edges to prevent "channeling."
Stage 2: At the 1:15 mark, pour the final installment until you reach your total weight of 225g.

5. The Draw Down
Give the V60 a very gentle stir or a small swirl to settle the grounds into a flat bed. For this smaller dose, the water should finish draining slightly faster, typically by the 2:30 – 3:00 minute mark.

6. The Reveal
Remove the dripper, gently swirl the carafe to open up the aroma, and pour. Let it rest for a moment before drinking, this allows the coffee to settle and fully express itself.
Now, take your time and enjoy a rich, high-quality coffee experience you proudly crafted.
